Wildcats News · Week In Sports – Wilson Wrestling Dominates LA


Last week the Wilson wrestling team racked up a few more wins.  Wilson dominated Los Altos at all levels on Tuesday 12/4. The boys JV team won 15-0, Girls Varsity 18-0, and Boys Varsity 48-27! Wilson won 13 out of 18 matches by pin!

The team followed that up with another convincing win against Asuza High School 57-15.

The team remains undefeated and is now 6-0 with league play right around the corner.

Melanie Aguilar (12th)  has performed well this season taking second place at the Carter High School Classic and the Hillcrest tournaments.

Benjamin Garza (12th), Daniel Carrillo (11th), Mark Martinez (12th), and Matthew Cramp (9th) have placed top 4 at every tournament this season including the tough Costa Mesa Classic, Orange Lutheran Tournament, and the El Dorado Invitational.

Girls Water Polo had a great week with a 4-1 record.  They beat Bell Gardens, Notre Dame of Riverside, Westridge, and Pacifica high school.

Girls Soccer one their match against Nogales with the score of 2-0.

Boys basketball went 2-2 this past week with wins over Pioneer and El Rancho High School.

Girls Basketball went 1-1 beating Nogales High school.

Today our girls soccer teams plays against La Serna High school in Dave Merrill Stadium at 5pm.

Tuesday our girls water polo team is home against West Covina with start time of 3:15pm.  Our big game this week is our boys soccer team as they take on Los Altos in a home game for your Wildcats.  Game time will be 5:15pm.  Please come out and support our young men as they look to stay undefeated.

Wednesday our girls soccer team is home against La Puente at 5:15pm.  Our boys basketball team is also home as they defend their home court against Diamond Ranch high school.

Thursday our boys soccer team will be home against Azusa high school at 5:15pm.  Girls Water Polo is at Montebello at 3:15pm and wrestling is at Northview at 5:30pm.

Friday boys basketball is on the road against Cal Hi.

Saturday our boys soccer team will have a home match against Charter Oak at 5:15pm.
