Wildcats News · 12/17 Week In Sports


Last week was another busy week for our Wildcats.  Our boys basketball team took two giant steps forward with wins over Diamond Ranch and an overtime win over California high school 68-65.  Our boys are currently ranked 9th in CIF Div 4AA.  Our girls water polo team went 1-1 with an easy win over West Covina but lost a heartbreaker to Montebello 8-9.  Girls Water Polo is currently ranked 7th in CIF Division 6.   Girls soccer only had one game last week that they tied 0-0 against La Serna.  Boys soccer had a bit of a slide last week with a loss to Los Altos and Azusa, but hung in for a hard fought tie against Charter Oak.  Boys are currently ranked 4th in CIF Division 6.

Today our wrestling team is home against Duarte Highs school with the match starting at 5:30pm in the gym.  Our girls water polo starts league play  on the road today against Rowland at 3:15pm.

Tuesday boys soccer starts league play at home against Northview with game time of 5pm.  Our girls soccer team is on the road against Northview starting at 3:15pm.

Wednesday girls water polo is home against Baldwin Park starting at 3:15pm.  Wrestling is on the road at Rowland high school with the match starting at 5:30pm.

Thursday boys soccer is home against Rowland high school with game time of 5pm.  Girls soccer is at Rowland at 3:15pm.  Boys basketball will be at Temple City with the game starting at 6:30pm.  Girls basketball will be at Viewpoint high school with game time of 5:30pm.

This weekend the wrestling team will be in La Puente Tournament and Louie Madrigal West Coast Tournament.
