Wildcats News · Week In Sports

Last week our Boys’ Water Polo team beat La Mirada High School by the score of 17-10.  There were many great highlights.  David Gonzalez had multiple scores and dazzled the crowd with some crafty trick shots.  Edmond Chu also scored multiple goals as he was able to easily swim faster than the defenders to give himself one on one opportunities.

Our tennis team beat Alhambra last week by the score of 14-4.  Our singles ladies remain on fire as they swept Alhambra’s singles.

Our Cross Country team attended the Cool Breeze Invitational last week.  Our Boys sophomore team came in second place out of 30 teams and our very own Aldrich Gwynne won that race. Girls Varsity placed 7th out of 30 schools and Boys Varsity placed 2nd out of 35 teams.  In Jonathan Zavala’s  1st cross country race he placed 2nd out of all the varsity boys runners.  Great job to all of our runners.

Our Football lost another tough game but never gave up and fought to the end.  The Wildcats had a great last minute drive with multiple runs by Isaiah Espinoza and some timely catches from lineman turned receiver Nicholas Cardenas.  The final score was 25-17.

Our Cheer and Band hosted students from our quad as we had over 60 kids from our feeder schools performing in a halftime cheer routine as well as playing alongside our Royal Wilson Marching Alliance.  Such a great treat for all in attendance.  Thank you head Coach Denee  and Band Director Mr. Torres for providing this opportunity for our youth.
